This weekend we welcomed in our very first wedding here at the Launcells Barton wedding venue in Cornwall and our very first Launcells Barton Bride, just so happened to be my friend Rosie and her lovely groom Leigh. I was honoured to be Maid of Honour and be able to share their special day with them. It was so lovely to be apart of the bridal party, for our very first wedding and was amazing to see the place through the eyes of a guest. The sun was shinning and it was an absolutely magical day!
Rosie got ready with all her friends and family around her, in the private bridal suite and I think we can all agree she looked truly beautiful in her vintage lace ball gown.
The place was filled with gorgeous blooms by the amazingly talented Emma from Brompton Buds. Jars filled with beautiful pinks and greens hung from shepard’s hooks & lined the Aisle, while the wooden arbor was entwined with flowers and framed the couple beautifully!
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed welcome drinks in the Courtyard and relaxed on hay bales outside our rustic bar which is hidden just under the Mill Barn!

Rosie decorated the Mill Barn beautifully, with dusky muted tones and country garden flowers, adding so much attention to detail with special personalised gifts for everyone. Each seat was decorated with a hessian and lace sash, which were all handmade by the Bride! They also hung festoon lighting from the beams which made the barn look absolutely enchanting!
Rosie & Leigh had afternoon tea in the barn and then encouraged guests outside into the courtyard for Cornish ice cream, a pig roast and a mobile pizzeria! I think its safe to say that no one went hungry!
Rosie chose Rebecca Roundhill to capture her special day and as you can see, she certainly didn’t disappoint! The photo’s speak for themselves and are simply breathtaking, but it’s Rebecca’s professionalism on the day, that really made these photos so beautiful! Rebecca went above and beyond to capture the very best photos for Rosie and Leigh, even climbing over bushes & fences to get that perfect shot!
The evening was kicked off by inspired Party who have an amazing set up with their rustic themed DJ booth.
The whole day went perfectly and we were so pleased to welcome in a new chapter at Launcells Barton. It has been such hard work getting the place to this stage and a lot of people behind the scenes have made it happen. We’ve had builders, plumbers ,workmen (and women) here until midnight helping us get everything ready, we have called in friends to help plant flowers, family friends have given up their weekends to help limewash the barn, friends have even dropped everything last minute & come along with a baby strapped to their front to help set up the bar! We really couldn’t have done it without everyones support, so from all the team at Launcells Barton, a massive THANK YOU to everyone that has helped make our dream a reality!
