Meet the dedicated team of people here at Launcells Barton who ensure that every aspect and detail of the venue is covered for your special day!
Husband and wife team, Lara and Matt, transformed the old dairy farm at Launcells Barton into the award winning venue you see today. Together, they’ve given over 120 happy couples incredible memories that will last forever.
Matt oversees maintenance of the venue, ensuring it functions harmoniously alongside the organic farm. He has a deep passion for the countryside and is committed to farming sustainably. You may also see Matt on your wedding day as he takes you out on his tractor, driving you across the farm to watch the sunset!
Maddie is likely to be the first person you speak to when you get in touch. It’s her job to support you throughout your wedding planning journey, answering any questions you may have and offering plenty of advice regarding the running of your day. Maddie is super organised and happiest making lists, so nothing is ever forgotten. She has a true passion for weddings and experience managing events in L.A., Australia and now Cornwall! Launcells Barton is still a working organic farm with over 230 acres to care for. When Ken and Julian aren’t maintaining and fixing bits around the venue, cutting lawns and making sure everything looks perfect, they’re also looking after the fields and woodland across the farm. Outside of wedding season, there’s plenty to do as we refresh the whole house, venue and barns, ready to welcome guests the following year. We also run a biomass heating system, so there’s a lot of work to be done harvesting timber from our sustainably managed woodland to keep everyone warm and cosy throughout winter.
Andrew manages and maintains the gardens and grounds at Launcells Barton. He ensures there’s colour and interest all year round, creating a beautiful seasonal backdrop for your celebration. As well as having a real passion for all aspects of gardening, Andrew has previously worked in theatre and events, meaning he truly understands the high quality required for a wedding venue.
