Merryn and Henry’s May wedding was the kind of day you dream about. Bright sunshine from morning to evening set the tone, and the walled garden looked incredible for their ceremony. Milk churns overflowing with flowers lined the aisle, giving it the perfect countryside feel.
Merryn spent the morning getting ready in the Manor House, surrounded by her closest friends and family, laughter and excitement filling every corner.
As guests started to arrive, Henry was at the snug bar, excitedly greeting everyone before it was time to make their way into the Walled Garden for the ceremony!
Acoustic music played as Merryn walked down the aisle with her dad, and as they got towards the end of the aisle, their daughter ran straight into her dad’s arms- a moment full of love, joy, and happy tears that set the feel for the whole ceremony.
The ceremony itself was personal, heartfelt, and full of love, with the garden walls holding in all the laughter and emotion of their celebration.
Afterwards, everyone spilled out into the courtyard for welcome drinks. The space buzzed with chatter, clinking glasses, and children weaving in and out, while Merryn and Henry were wrapped up in congratulations from family and friends.
As guests took their seats in the reception barn, Merryn and Henry slipped away for a quiet moment together, just the two of them. Inside, guests were welcomed by bright summer pops of colour and cascading fairy lights filling the barn- the perfect setting for the evening ahead.
Guests enjoyed their meal and then speeches, while children played out on the lawns, meaning everyone could fully relax and soak up the day.
Later in the evening, as the sun began to dip, guests spilled out onto the lawn for cocktail hour, chatting and laughing as the golden light stretched across the lawn. Merryn and Henry slipped away with their little girl before they kicked off the evening with their first dance!
As the golden hour settled in, Merryn and Henry slipped away for a tractor ride, just the two of them. With the fields glowing in the last of the sunshine, it was a simple, quiet moment that felt completely theirs.
A Few words from the Happy Couple-
“We can’t quite believe it’s been over a week since our wedding! Everyone keeps saying what an amazing day it was and it truly was! We honestly don’t think there was anything we would or could have changed.
The whole venue just felt so familiar. With both of us coming from farming families, it had that family farm, home-from-home feeling- it just felt right, and it felt like us.
The venue gave us exactly what we wanted: relaxed summer garden party vibes, with everyone mixing, playing garden games and simply enjoying themselves. It was perfect. On the way home we both said there wasn’t a single thing we’d add or take away that could have made the day any better.
Thank you for making everything feel so special and effortless on the day- we honestly cannot fault a single thing!”
Merryn & Henry what can we say! It was an absolute pleasure getting to know you both over the wedding planing and seeing your incredible family filled day come to life!
It was everything we hoped it would be for you both! So special to be a apart of and we wish you and your family nothing but the best!
