Steeped in history and set amidst spectacular wooded countryside, Launcells Barton is a family-owned exclusive use wedding venue in Launcells, a small parish situated near Bude in North Cornwall. Along with boutique accommodation in our historic country manor house, we provide the perfect setting for both your wedding ceremony and reception, with the capacity to seat up to 200 guests. From the minute you arrive to the moment you leave, you’ll be made to feel like part of the family.

Tractor ride

We invite all our couples to take a romantic tractor ride across the farm and watch the sunset over the Cornish Sea. With breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside, it’s a chance to explore our land and steal some time alone, just the two of you. The incredible light during golden hour makes for some amazing photographs and by the time you return you’ll be ready to get the party started.

We offer a flexible, bespoke approach to wedding planning. The venue is a beautiful blank canvas, ready to style and decorate however you want. You’ll be able to oversee every detail and decide exactly how your celebration should unfold.

Whether you choose to get married midweek or at a weekend, the Launcells Barton experience always includes exclusive use of the entire venue and grounds. We give you plenty of time to set-up the day before, leaving you free to spend the morning of your wedding day getting ready with friends and family. As the day progresses, you’ll have nothing to worry about beyond having a good time. We’ll take care of everything else. The following morning, you’ll also be able to enjoy breakfast with your guests before you depart for home or your honeymoon.

As an exclusive use wedding venue, we don’t need to divide our time between you and other guests or responsibilities. We know the industry inside out and can give you all the advice and support you need. Our experienced Wedding Co-Ordinators will be on-hand to assist you and answer any venue-related questions you may have. They’ll support you in the run-up to your wedding, but the fun and excitement of planning every detail will be yours to enjoy. On the day itself, they’ll keep things running smoothly and ensure nothing is missed or forgotten.

You don’t have to choose – we offer the best of both worlds. We’re passionate about our land, the surrounding countryside and the precious wildlife that have made it their home. Our Grade II* listed manor house is a short walk (or tractor ride) from the coast. With lovingly restored historic buildings, a dedicated Reception Barn and stunning views of the Cornish Sea, we’re the perfect wedding venue for couples who want to create a unique, relaxed celebration against a stunning backdrop of quintessentially Cornish scenery.
