Launcells Barton

Church Weddings

Situated close to the grounds of Launcells Barton, just a short walk from the house, is the beautiful Parish Church of St Swithin’s.

Famously described by Sir John Betjeman as the ‘least spoilt church in Cornwall’, the building dates back to the late 15th century, with fragments of an earlier 14th century church incorporated into the current structure. The result is an incredibly romantic setting filled with countless historic artefacts including intricately carved bench ends, Georgian box pews and a huge collection of encaustic Barnstaple tiles.
