The Perfect August Wedding in Cornwall

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of holding Jessica & Matthew’s beautiful outdoor wedding and what a beautiful wedding it was! Jessica and Matthew live in London, so we kept in contact a lot over the months leading up to their wedding to make sure their day ran as smoothly as possible. We really got to know Jessica, Matthew and all their family during the lead up to their wedding, so we were so delighted to be apart of their special day and watch as they took their next step together.

It was great helping Matthew & Jessica set up the day before and seeing all their ideas coming together. Emma from Brompton buds created the most beautiful flower wreath for the  Mill Barn. Jessica styled the tables with large gold candelabras and simple jars of sweet peas, which looked absolutely stunning as the wax melted during the meal.

Jessica got ready in the bridal suite with her sister, bridesmaid and mother close by her side, I had the privilege of seeing the breathtaking flower crown unveiled and being positioned perfectly in place on the Bride. Jessica looked truly stunning in a simple classic gown, finished beautifully with an elegant lace cathedral length veil.

Matthew & Jessica had a celebrant wedding, which was just so personal to the both of them. It was great to hear about special moments that they had shared together during their relationship.

After the ceremony, Matthew and Jessica took some time just the two of them. I always think it’s such a great idea. A wedding can be so busy, that it really is important to try and find some time away and enjoy time together.

After drinks in the courtyard it was time for all their guests to takes their seats. Matthew is a self-confessed pie connoisseur, so Good Food Catering put together an amazing menu, taking into account all the different dietary requirements and Matthew’s favourite fillings! It was then out into the courtyard for mini “make your own” eaton mess!

The evening was so relaxed. All the children loved the outdoor space, playing and jumping around on the hay bales, while the Bride and Groom mingled with their friends and family as the evening entertainment was being set up. We really enjoyed getting to know their guests, who had heard so much about Launcells Barton and wanted to know all about the history and renovations.

Matthew & Jessica chose Andrew from Travers and Brown to capture their special day and he really did get some amazing natural shots of the day. He even used the old calf pens and barns for stunning backdrops for the couple. There are so many different places on the farm, so it’s great to see different peoples ideas and creativity!

It truly was a perfect day and we wish Jessica and Matthew every happiness as they start their married life together!
