This is where your wedding photographer comes in as it’s their job to capture the romance and tell your story. You will also have a unique opportunity for the both of you to have some beautiful shots of you together. It’s very common for couples to plan in some time to leave your guests in safe hands and go off with just your photographer to have a couples shoot. This allows you to enjoy each other’s company for a short while, before the party gets started. What makes this easier for the photographer is if your venue has some gorgeous backdrops, something which our venue is always praised for! We’re blessed with stunning grounds and historic buildings, which make for truly gorgeous photos.

The Manor House
We have a few options for where you can hold your ceremony here at our exclusive use venue, depending on your preference and numbers. Some couples choose the Manor House, which can hold up to 20 people and is perfect for intimate weddings. However, if you plan to have more guests but have fallen in love with the elegant design and Georgian architecture, you can hold your ceremony elsewhere but still use the house for your couples shoot, something many like to make the most of. It boasts a stunning regal façade, window seats overlooking the garden, gorgeous staircases and an abundance of original features, all of which are perfect for setting the scene.
The grounds
The beauty of our venue is as much about the interior as it is the exterior.
To paint you a picture, we’re set in the idyllic and leafy countryside and our grounds are brimming with carefully tended seasonal blooms. Our tree-lined driveway is always a favourite spot, which you can see in the photo above, as well as the walled garden and custom-built arbour. The time of day and year will make a difference, so this is something to consider as each bring different opportunities. The winter sun setting over the hills is always incredibly romantic, and you can see the rolling Atlantic waves in the distance!
A tractor ride
Something which has become increasingly popular amongst our couples is to go for a tractor ride around the grounds! Not only is this a little different, it gives the pair of you some time to be with each other away from everyone else, it’s really good fun and the photos as a result are definitely some for the album!
Local beaches
Although you will be spoilt for choice throughout our venue, we’re lucky to be just minutes from some of the best beaches on the north coast, so if you love the idea of photos by the sea, this is certainly possible and always worth it.
