As we’ve built and developed our wedding venue we’ve done so in a way that, where possible, uses local materials and even pays homage to the farming past of the barns and buildings that make up Launcells Barton; Matt has spent hours, days and weeks painstakingly crafting items into what you see today, from our beautiful bars to the outside drinking areas at the bottom of the Mill Barn. Look carefully and you’ll see a photo of his grandfather taking pride of place in the reception barn bar!

Wedding caterers
Food plays a big part in any wedding day. Have you always dreamt of a sit down three-course meal cooked by some of the best chefs around? Perhaps you’re wanting something a little more relaxed; a wood-fired buffet where your guests can simply help themselves. No matter what style of food you’re wanting to warm the cockles and bellies of your guests, we’ve worked with a number of great catering teams and can definitely vouch that their food is great!
Fantastic florists
Our venue is a complete blank canvas from which you’re able to imprint your own style, taste and decoration. Don’t panic if you don’t know a eucalyptus from a peony as we know several great local florists who’ll be able to make your style a reality. If you take a look at some of our real weddings it should give you some ideas as to what you’re wanting; do you prefer greenery or large floral decoration? Take inspiration from the weddings you’ve liked and then put your own spin on things with one of our recommended florists!
A picture captures a thousand words
Choosing the photographer for your big day is undoubtedly a massive decision as those photos will capture memories that you’ll want to keep for many years to come. If you’re unsure of the type of photographer you’re wanting to work with then have a look through some of our most recent weddings to get a good feel for their work and the way they take photos from around the venue. This is the best bet to make sure you get one that fits your own taste in photography. Be sure to book early though, as this talented bunch are definitely popular!
Wanting to stay in the area
Our couples come from far and wide; some are from the local area, while we’ve had other brides travel all the way from sunny Australia to share their day with us. One thing that they all benefit from is great local accommodation on the coast. Whether it’s a few friends looking to share a cottage between them, someone looking for the functionality of a Premier Inn or wanting a hearty stay in a bed and breakfast, your guests will be spoilt for choice and situated minutes from our venue.
Getting them home
One of the biggest decisions for many weddings guests is who draws the short straw of being the designated driver! Because the venue is so close to the coast and town of Bude there is a good selection of local cab companies ready to ferry guests home, meaning that this problem rarely becomes a reality at our venue!
