Where you’ll spend your wedding day

Weddings are always incredible days filled with many magical moments; love, laughter, dinner and dancing, you name it, it’s all in there! We know that for you and your guests the emotion of the day can also make it a long one, which is why our venue is carefully crafted to ensure that each part of your day is spent in its own unique and special space.  From getting ready, to waving your guests off underneath the star-filled countryside skies, here’s how you could spend your own big day…

Watch your guests arrive in style
For most brides and grooms, watching their guests arrive excited for their day is something they only get to really enjoy when they watch the wonderful work of their videographer several weeks later. At Launcells Barton you get something that is very special; because our Manor House is so central to the venue you’ll be able to peep through the windows to see your guests arriving and congregating in anticipation of your big entrance.  If you’re due to be married in the church they’ll even make their way right past the front door!

A tipple for their arrival
The first place your guests head to is one of our two onsite bars.  This is a great space that’s been lovingly created from parts of our own working farm; you’ll find wood reused from former cow sheds and a rustic feel that you just can’t beat! On sunny days they’ll be able to congregate in our open courtyard, before making their way to the ceremony!

Your ceremony
It very much depends on the type of ceremony you’re having as to where everyone heads next! If you’ve always dreamt of saying ‘I do’ outside then our walled garden is going to be the perfect place for you and your guests to share the special moment whilst seated on pews made from wood from our own land.  Outdoor weddings at Launcells can be absolutely breathtaking; get married in Spring and you’re surrounded by blossoming plants and flowers, tie the knot in Summer and you’ll hopefully be surrounded by beautiful blue skies and green flora.

If an outdoor ceremony isn’t for you then our Mill Barn will be the home of one of the most special moments of your lives.  Say ‘I do’ under the exposed beams of this lovingly restored barn, which is just metres from the courtyard everyone will be arriving in.

Time for the reception
There’s no getting in the car and heading off to the reception venue here! You’ll make the short walk – and when we say short walk we definitely mean it – to our purpose built reception venue, complete with its own bar for you and your guests to enjoy! This will be the home to your wedding breakfast, with a big entrance for you to both be welcomed for the first time as a married couple!

Whilst this will be where you spend much of your time for the rest of the day there’s a number of outdoor areas your guests can enjoy if the weather is kind, and many guests often comment on how stunning the venue also looks at night, with specially situated lighting highlighting some of the natural features of the surrounding buildings.

Walk into a new future
With the sun setting on your special day you’ll have a little time to have photos taken walking toward the coast or surrounded by stunning Cornish countryside – is there any other way you’d ever want to finish the day?
