Not only did they bring their friends and family down with them, but they brought the wonderful London-based Wedding Planner, Shaun Johnson, who we’d put them in touch with to give them a bit more support piecing everything together, while Sam was away playing professional rugby and Mary-Anne was working long hours as a lawyer.
Bleujen styled the Mill Barn and Reception Barn beautifully the day before with delicate soft peachy pinks & greenery.
Mary-Anne got ready in the Manor House with all her bridesmaids and close family around her. Meanwhile Shaun and I were on hand to make sure all the little details were perfect and the button holes in place! Sam arrived with his ushers and put the finishing touches together, before grabbing a drink in the Snug Bar.
Mary-Anne looked beautiful as she walked down the aisle in a floating ballgown to her eagerly awaiting Groom, who had the biggest smile on his face when he saw his beautiful Bride for the first time.
After the ceremony, guests made their way outside for Pimms and music, while the newlyweds took a bit of time to themselves.
Their guests then welcomed the happy couple, who were grinning ear to ear, into their welcome drinks reception, with a cascade of confetti!
After family photos in the garden, everyone was announced in to take their seats in the Reception Barn for the wedding breakfast. There were some very emotional speeches, that got everyone- including the LB team- welling up!
After their meal and speeches, the couple’s band set up and guests mingled outside while the newlyweds took some time together to take in their day, before it was time for their first dance!
After their first dance, the happy couple rushed off to catch the sunset at the top of the farm and even bumped into some cows to Mary-Anne’s delight! As they made their way back on the tractor, everyone was outside the Reception Barn to welcome them back to the party!
A few words from the happy couple– “From the moment we saw photos of Launcells Barton we felt such a connection to the venue and then when we came down to meet you and look around we just knew we couldn’t get married anywhere else. Launcells is such a special place and you’ve really made it into the most wonderful venue. We felt as if we’d always known you, and as if we really belonged there, which is exactly the vibe we wanted for the wedding. You were so lovely and helpful in the run up and on the day- Lara you fitted in like a wonderfully helpful guest, and Matt thank you so much for the tractor ride up into the fields to see the sunset! We really had the most incredible day and could not have hoped for a happier, more magical wedding. Thank you so much for opening your home up to us, and letting us be a part of the Launcells Family”
We wish Mary-Anne and Sam every happiness for the future, especially as they are soon to welcome their first baby into the family! Exciting times for you both!
