Getting to know our venue

We know that when you’re looking through a wedding venue website, it can sometimes be hard to picture the layout of the various places in your mind; where exactly is the Manor House in relation to the ceremony? How close are you to the Reception Barn? Where will people spend the majority of their time on the day?

These are just some of the questions you may be wondering before you arrive for a viewing and a walk around our venue. To answer some of those for you, we’ve had this beautiful, illustrated map drawn up to help you better understand the layout and where you’ll spend one of the most special days of your lives.

Here’s just a little more information on each of those places featured on our map!

The Manor House

The Manor House is one of the most iconic features of our venue and the place your bridal party will call home for the weekend. Sleeping up to 15, the older half of the house is thought to date back to the 14th Century and gives amazing views across the venue. If you’re a bride that fancies a sneaky peak of your guests arriving, then we can show you just the spot!

The Mill Barn

The Mill Barn is where many of our couples tie the knot and it’s easy to understand why. This 19th century stone built barn has been lovingly restored to provide you with an elegant and visually stunning space in which to say ‘I do’. If that wasn’t enough, it’s also got its own bar beneath, which is ideal for your arrival drinks.

The Walled Garden

Dreaming of an outdoor wedding ceremony in the summer sunshine? You wouldn’t be alone; our walled garden has played host to some incredible weddings over the past few years. Its central position means that even if you’re not saying ‘I do’ under our beautiful wooden arbor, it still makes for a great space for guests to mingle during your day.

The Reception Barn

Our state-of-the-art Reception Barn is the latest edition to our venue and gives you the dream blank canvas for your meal and evening celebrations. Seating up to 180 people (or 200 on trestle tables), the barn has been built to complement the original house and surrounding countryside. It also comes with its own spacious bar and lounge area, which is a real hit with guests at many of our weddings.

The one thing we really wanted to convey is how carefully our venue has been crafted in order to give you the perfect space and the perfect day. If you’d like to see for yourself then please do give us a call on 01288 352352 or fill out our contact form and we’ll be happy to arrange a viewing for you.
