While the sun beamed down on this early Summer’s day, the anticipation grew within the Bridal Suite of the Manor House, as Elin got ready with her bridal party around her- and a bottle of champers of course! Huw and his Groomsmen gathered outside to enjoy a drink in the snug bar, before heading down to the church to welcome all their guests!

As guests arrived at the church and took their seats, the Launcells team were on hand to help Elin make her way down from the Manor House to the church, so she could finally marry her man!

Elin looked beautiful in a timeless off the shoulder A-line, with cathedral length veil as she walked down the aisle to meet Huw.

As guests made their way back to Launcells Barton, we got everyone ready for the confetti tunnel!

Their band played and guests enjoyed drinks and canapés while mingling in the Courtyard and, with Huw being a private chef for the likes of David Beckham and Jeremy Clarkson, you can imagine their guests were treated to the very best!  Dish did not disappoint with an Oyster bar, lamb cutlets & Scollops!

Elin and Huw styled the Reception Barn with simple greenery and gold accents – it looked utterly beautiful. I say simple, but I don’t think Elin felt there was anything simple about working out how to strap 3 trees to the roof of her Dad’s car for the journey home!

While guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast, Elin and Huw went for a wander around the venue and took some time with their Photographer.

Elin and Huw made one hell of  an entrance with their confetti canons -biodegradable of course! There wasn’t a piece of cutlery or plate that wasn’t covered in confetti by the time the happy couple took their seats! After everyone had wiped confetti off their plates, Dish served up the most incredible feast, before speeches got underway!

Guests then went outside for cheese grazing boards & wedding cake while their band set up! As everyone was enjoying the last of the day’s sun, the sea mist flowed in making for some rather dramatic photos!

It wasn’t long before their band were announcing the happy couple to the dance floor for their first dance!

A few words from the Bride… 

“Being an event planner myself I took a long time researching wedding venues for the big day. Launcells had been the very first I looked at on a rainy day straight after our engagement. It looked special and it did not disappoint.

From the moment we stepped out of the car we knew it was the place for us. What sealed the deal was when we met Lara who was so friendly, organised and helpful. It was clear she loved what she does and that we were in safe hands. Questions we had were answered without the need to ask them.

We booked our wedding between pandemics. Seeing how much Lara and the Launcells team cared about their couples weddings, their venue and the industry through their tireless campaigning just cemented further that we had made a great choice and this was a venue that really cared and would go the extra mile.

Due to covid we had a much longer engagement than we would have liked but it made the day even more special once it came round. Lara and Maddie were brilliant both in the run up and on the day. They were always responsive and were really helpful. Maddie in particular went the extra mile to help my mother in law with the delivery of three silver birch trees the week before the wedding that the supplier suddenly refused to deliver on a Friday. They were both present on the day and took care of everything. We were both able to switch off and enjoy the day knowing that everything was taken care of. Not easy for an event planner and someone who used to have their own wedding catering business to do but a real testament to the Launcells team and all of our fab suppliers that day.

So many of our guests commented on what a fantastic venue it was. They loved that there was a flow and that different parts of the day were in different spaces and did not all take place in the one spot. Guests were never broken up due to the experienced Launcells team only keeping one bar open at a time. We even had people asking for Launcell’s details after the wedding for their son’s wedding it made that much of an impression.

A huge thank you to Lara and the team for letting us use your stunning venue and grounds and for all of your help, hard work and support. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.”
