Musical performances, Summer Blooms and Limbo on the lawn! Nadia & Zachary were finally able to bring all their loved ones together in Cornwall!

Wedding Venues in Cornwall

This July finally saw the wedding and celebration that Zachary and Nadia had been waiting for! Nadia being French- Swiss and Zachary being French- American meant fate brought them together at a Drama school in London. Since graduating Nadia has gone on to become an award winning playwright and Zachary went into many roles in Theatre and TV, but even with their hectic schedules and work commitments taking them a part all over the world, their love for each other never faltered!  With many of their guests also working in TV, Theatre and Film, their day was certain to bring creativity, musicality and some very special moments!

Nadia and Zachary both got ready the morning of their wedding in the Manor House, with their friends and family ensuring the two never crossed paths. The house was alive with musicians practising, hair and make up being touched up and family & friends bustling to make sure confetti and button holes were all sorted!

Zachary made his way outside to meet guests, before they headed to the Walled Garden for their ceremony to begin!

Nadia looked beautiful in an off the shoulder floating ballgown with cathedral length Veil! Bleujen created the flowers and styling for their day, with gorgeous Summer tones and pops of colour throughout! The Arbour was framed with cascading summer flowers that matched the Shepards hooks that lined the aisle.

As their friend sang, Nadia’s friends, family and little dog Lady made their way down the Aisle, before Nadia walked arm in arm with her dad to meet Zachary.

The tears fell for all their friends and family as after 2 long years of postponements, Nadia and Zachary were finally able to bring all their loved ones from across the world together for this very special day!

Personal vows, opera singing and instrumental performances by friends, made this sentimental and touching ceremony perfect for this artistic couple.

After their ceremony, guests caught up as drinks and canapés flowed. After years of not seeing one another due to travel restrictions, hugs and laughter rippled throughout the courtyard, until guests were asked to take their seats in the Reception Barn. Their reception had been elegantly styled with greenery and Summer blooms by Bleujen.

The joy and celebration was very much underway as guests found their seats ready for the wedding breakfast, fizz and speeches!

Guests soon made their way out onto the lawn, for garden games and drinks under the last of the day’s sun!

The Newlyweds headed off for some photos in the last of the sunshine, before hitting the dance floor with all their guests for their first dance!!

As the sun started to set, Nadia and Zachary grabbed a bottle of fizz and took off on the Tractor!

A few words from the Happy Couple! “Our wedding at Launcells Barton exceeded our wildest dreams. We were one of the 2020 weddings which had to be postponed, and when we finally got to celebrate two years later, in July 2022, Covid was still present, making it impossible for a number of our guests to attend. After a flurry of last minute cancellations and travel mayhem for some of our closest family members from abroad, some of whom didn’t make it, we were just so grateful for the guests who did. What ensued was simply MAGIC! The sun peeked out of the clouds just as Nadia stepped out onto the aisle with her father. This set the tone for the rest of the day, which was absolute perfection – from the welcome drinks to the wedding breakfast via the garden games through to our first dance and our band absolutely killing it! Many of our guests – old and young – said it was hands down the best wedding they’d been to! We feel so lucky that it was ours.

The day truly was magical, but we are well aware of the hard work, passion, commitment it takes to make that sort of magic happen and that was all down to Lara, Matt, Maddie and their incredible team. From our very first visit to our final hours there, we felt wholeheartedly welcome and looked after, the opposite of just another couple to marry. Their rapport to us was personal, authentic, full of genuine care and concern, especially throughout the pandemic and the challenges it kept throwing our way. Steeped in history, beautiful inside and out, the venue is an absolute dream, but what truly makes it are the people who run it with so much professionalism and even more heart. We will never forget our time there and are immensely grateful for it.

Nadia and Zachary, it was an absolute pleasure getting to know you both over the past few years!
Your little thoughtful gestures of Swiss chocolates during covid and emails to say “Hi” went a very long
way and finally getting to see you both celebrate your special day was a privilege to be a part of!
We wish you every happiness for your future together!!
