This June we celebrated the gorgeous Summer wedding of Vicky and Ben. The sun shone and the happy couple exchanged vows surrounded by friends, family and vibrant blooms within the Walled Garden. Throughout our time getting to know Vicky & Ben in the lead up, from first meeting to final goodbye, it was nothing but laughter and like chatting with friends. 

Vicky got ready in the Manor House with her parents and friends by her side, while Ben welcomed guests as they arrived to the venue. Vicky looked stunning with an appliqué embellished ballgown that had sparkle throughout that glistened in the sun.

The walled garden was styled beautifully by Liv Cousins Flower Design, with 2 grand vases of vibrant pink & white blooms and trailing greenery on pillars that stood either side of the wooden arbour. Guests soon took their seats as the Bride made her way over from the Manor House.

The welcome drinks were then well underway as guests helped themselves to Pimms and Fizz and their caterers Beautiful & The Feast milled around serving canapés. While guests were mingling and chatting, Vicky and Ben popped around the front of the Manor House for some group photos with friends and families.

Guests then took their seats in the Reception Barn, which had been styled beautifully with wooden trestle tables and an ombré effect of pink & white flowers in clear glass vases.

While guests found their seats, the happy couple took some time away to explore the grounds and grab some alone time.

The newlyweds and all their guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches and their wedding breakfast meal, before heading outside for Espresso Martinis in the last of the day’s sun!

It was then time for the couple’s first dance, before they were whisked away to catch the sunset on the back of the Tractor!

Once back from their Tractor Ride, the Launcells team arranged everyone outside ready for sparklers, before everyone headed back inside.. to party the night away with their DJ and Sax player!

A Few words from the Happy Couple-

Firstly we want to start by saying a huge thank you to Lara and the team at Launcells, our wedding day was everything we imagined and more and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of the team.

We knew as soon as we got engaged that we wanted to get married in Cornwall. Ben grew up in Devon and Vicky spent every year holidaying on the Cornish coast, so as soon as we saw Launcells and it ticked every box, we knew we’d found the perfect venue.

We were so lucky with the weather and so got to fulfil our vision of getting married in the beautiful Rose Garden followed by Pimms and Prosecco under the trees, and the beautiful backdrop of the grounds for our photos.

Given we got married on the longest weekend of the year, we wanted the overall theme to be a fun, summer party. We had long tables and sharing food, with local fresh produce, by the incredible Beautiful and the Feast and bright florals in different shades of pink by local florist Liv Cousins. We complimented the flowers with stationary by Ten Story Stationary.

One of our favourite moments of the day was the sunset tractor ride, it was so special to watch the sunset over the sea and take a moment just the two of us. It was also the perfect photo opportunity captured so brilliantly by our photographer Claire Menary and videographer Flow Motion Studios.

We returned to our guests who had formed a line of sparklers and then it was time to party (and for Cornish Pasties)! Our DJ, Dom Booth, and saxophonist, Alex, were a fantastic pair and we spent the night dancing to our favourite songs; we didn’t want the day to end. A moment we will remember forever is the lights coming on as we stood in a big circle with our friends and family singing our hearts out to Robbie Williams – Angels. The perfect end to a perfect day. We wish we could do it all over again!
