Laurie and Lachlan’s May wedding was a relaxed and joy-filled celebration, bursting with sunshine, laughter, and love from start to finish. They weaved their laid-back, fun style through every aspect of their day! From the morning preparations surrounded by friends and family, to the heartfelt ceremony and the laughter-filled evening that followed. The day was spent enjoying garden games, good food, and plenty of fun with their loved ones, creating such a warm and easy-going atmosphere that perfectly reflected them.
Their ceremony which was held in the Mill Barn was beautifully and simply styled with soft drapes and a foliage and flower styling around the registrars table.
After guests had arrived and started making their way to the ceremony, Laurie had a couple of last minute moments with her Bridal Party before heading off to say “I Do”
Lachlan waited with excitement and nerves at the end of the Aisle as the barn buzzed with anticipation.
After the ceremony, guests made their way outside for confetti, drinks, and canapés, with plenty of time to catch up with the newlyweds. A live artist was also capturing beautiful watercolour portraits of guests, which added such a thoughtful and unique touch to the afternoon.
While guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast, the newlyweds slipped away for a little time alone – exploring the grounds and taking in the magic of the day.
The Reception Barn was beautifully styled with soft drapes and lush foliage, elevating the barn’s natural character and creating a light, romantic feel throughout.
After the speeches, guests flowed out onto the Reception Barn lawn for garden games, while the happy couple soaked up the last of the evening sun with a walk through the grounds.
With the long summer evening stretching ahead, the couple cut their cake and enjoyed their first dance, before hopping on a tractor for a sunset ride across the grounds.
As the happy couple returned to the Reception Barn, the LB team had organised all the guests outside, sparklers lit, creating the most incredible welcome.

“It’s difficult to truly put into words how truly spectacular Launcells Barton is. It was the first and last wedding venue we viewed, because in just a few minutes we had fallen head over heels.
The staff were so welcoming, attentive and genuinely caring across the entire process. Planning a wedding from 200miles away can be tricky at times, but the Handy Info Guide and virtual meetings helped us find amazing suppliers and answer any questions we had.
Exclusive use of the venue provided us not only with the perfect ambiance and back drop for our special day, but a relaxing space to enjoy pre and post wedding celebrations with our nearest and dearest.
Our guests were so complimentary of the venue and its staff, and were especially excited to see us off on sunset tractor ride! It made their long journeys (half of them as far as Australia) so worth it.
We’d like to give special thanks to Chrissie, who helped co-ordinate our day. A calming presence who radiated sunshine, Chrissie fitted into our day so wonderfully. She showed such genuine care and excitement for us across our celebrations, and gave us expert guidance when it was needed.
