Last week, we celebrated something really special -10 years since we first moved to the farm  and began the renovations that would one day
become Launcells Barton!

It’s hard to believe how much time has passed. Looking back, we can’t help but smile (and wince a little!) at how young and naïve we were. We had absolutely no idea what we were taking on – the pressure, the sleepless nights, and the constant juggling that comes with running a business, but also the moments of pride and joy that make it all worthwhile. Somehow, that blind optimism carried us through, and we’re so glad it did.

Over the past decade, we’ve been lucky enough to celebrate so many incredible weddings and be part of so many love stories. Each one has taught us something new-  about people, about business, and about ourselves. Every year we’ve grown, learned, and evolved, and Launcells Barton has grown with us.

Our 10-year celebration was our chance to raise a glass to all the incredible people who have helped make our dream a reality-  Our amazing suppliers, trades, and friends who have supported us every step of the way. It was such a joy to be surrounded by so many familiar faces who have been part of our journey from the very beginning, helping us turn ideas and muddy fields into the place Launcells Barton is today. And of course, a huge thank you to our brilliant team, whose passion and hard work make every wedding run so beautifully!

And to all of our wonderful couples, past and future-  thank you for trusting us with your most important day. You’re the heart of what we do, and being part of your celebrations over the years has been the greatest privilege. Every single wedding has shaped us, inspired us, and reminded us why we fell in love with what we do in the first place.

As we look ahead, we’re entering a really exciting new chapter. This year, we’ve partnered with the incredibly talented team at Fig and Smoke, who share our passion for relaxed, seasonal food and unforgettable dining experiences. And next spring, we’ll be opening our brand-new accommodation– something we’ve dreamed about for years. It’ll give our couples and their guests even more space to relax, stay, and make memories together here on the farm.

Most importantly, as Launcells Barton continues to grow, we’re finally finding a bit more balance between work and family life– something that’s taken us a long time to figure out! It feels like the start of a new era, where we can keep doing what we love while also taking the time to enjoy everything we’ve built together.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story-  for believing in us, supporting us, and helping turn a rundown family farm into the magical place it is today. Here’s to the next ten years, and all the stories still to come.
